Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs)

Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) reference standards for analysis in soil, sediment, transformer oil, food and biological tissue. The range includes individual congeners, the seven ICES indicator congeners, the twelve dioxin-like congeners and commercial Aroclor mixtures.

PCBs are persistent organic pollutants under the Stockholm Convention, so permitted limits are very low; carbon-13 labelled standards are commonly used as internal standards to secure recovery. See also environmental reference standards.
